Biology / Serology Unit This unit has biologist and serologist, who apply their knowledge to the identification and grouping of dried bloodstains and other body fluids such as semen, saliva, the comparison of hairs and fibers and the identification and comparison of botanical materials such as wood and plants. 2. Toxicology Unit This unit conducts chemical tests on visceral tissues to detect different types of poisons such as insecticides, pesticides, rodenticides, metallic, volatile, plant poison and drugs. Chemistry / Narcotics Unit This unit identifies drugs of abuse such as opiates, (Morphine, Opium, Codeine), Heroine, Cannabinoids (Gaja/Marijuana, Charas/Hashish, Hashish oil) and Cocaine etc. Psychotropic substances like benzodiazepine, Barbiturates, Amphetamines are also examined. Besides these, crime related to chemicals like, acid throwing, chemical forgery, adulteration etc. are detected.  Chemistry/Narcotics Section
