AIGP Ramesh Chand Thakuri, today, formally assumed charge as the executive Director of National Police Academy. Upon his arrival at the Academy, he was warmly greeted by the Academy staffs who formed line along the way to his office and offered bouquet to honour and welcome the new chief.

In the meeting with the senior officers of the Academy that followed the welcome reception, AIGP Chand shared his own experiences recalling the moments he had spent while working in NPA. He expressed that he felt like returning home from a voyage. He also acknowledged the potential of the staffs in NPA and reiterated the importance of collective effort rather than individual in realizing the spirit of democratic policing through the effective accomplishment of NPA's objectives. Also, the executive director decked out promoted Police personnel by their respective insignia in that moment.
