II Advance Training (In-service Training) 

Upgrading knowledge and skills of the senior police officers as required by the changed context of policing needs various advance knowledge and skills interventions. To meet such challenges, NPA conducts various advance courses for police officers up to the level of Senior Superintendent. Refresher courses are also included in the advance training, which covers selected subjects that have proved very useful in promoting professional insight in the personnel. The main advance training programs under this area are as follows:

a. Crime Investigation
It includes all the trainings related to crime investigation and law enforcement.  The Detective Training School at NPA conducts the following trainings to produce professional manpower: 

Furthermore, it also conducts training on Crime against Women and Children, Financial Crime, Crime Investigation Orientation Course for Nepalese Army, Armed Police Force, etc. 

b. Security
It includes all aspects of security i.e. VIP Security, Airport & other vital installations Security, Border Security, Custom Security, Election Security Management, etc. These are especially given to Dy.SPs, Inspectors and Junior Officers. Beside these, tactical training and the warfare training are also included.

°     Press Liaison Orientation for Dy.SP, Insp. and Junior Officers
°     Records Management for Dy.SP, Insp. and Junior Officers
°     Various UN Mission Orientation Course
