NPA conducts training related to physical and self defense activities such as Judo, Karate, Boxing, Taekwondo, etc. Basic PT Course, Advance PT Course and Drill Training are included for this course.
In addition to its national role, the NPA maintains close links with international police training institutions and shares the knowledge and experiences. Police officers from other countries and officials from Army/Armed Police Force/Administration Office/Forest Security Guards, Judiciary, Banks, etc. also attend specialized courses conducted by the Academy. It also organizes national Et international training, seminars, workshop programs in various subjects related to different sector in partnership with other institutions to meet future challenges of the society. Some of them are as follows: ° Role of Police in Changing Society ° Crime Investigation ° Police Management ° Human Rights and Police ° Basic Administration ° Seminar on Human Rights in Context of Armed Conflict ° Training I Seminars on Crime Against Woman And Children ° Police Training and Strengthening of Police ° Financial Crime ° Awareness Program on Crime Against Women And Children ° Regional Training for NCB Officers ° Medical First Responder Course ° Collapsed Structure Search t Rescue Course ° IHL / TFT Course ° Post Blast Investigation ° Terrorist Crime Scene Investigation NPA also plays a vital role in major ceremonies, such as Anniversary Day, Police Day, etc. Furthermore, the Executive Director of NPA is the member secretary of Nepal Police Sports Committee. NPA also supervises the Nepal Police Maintaining and Adventure Foundation (NPMAF).
The Academy brings out an annual magazine known as 'Prerana'. It carries articles of all areas of professional interest to police. This includes Law and Order, Science h Technology, Management, Investigation, Communications, Security, Human Resource Development, etc. The articles are invited from police personnel as well as academicians and eminent writers. NPA also brings out a directory of every batch of Inspectors at the graduation containing names, addresses, photographs, as well as the activities of all trainee officers. It has also published some text books related to policing.
The Academy celebrates its Anniversary Day on 29th Magh of every B.S. year and organizes various programs and events during a week preceding the Anniversary Day. The various programs and events include Sports, Quiz-Contest, Painting competition for the children of different age groups, supper, etc.
